Every person born into this world experiences judgement at some point in life. We object or become subject to an individuals choices perceived from limited human experiences and biases.
Whether giving or receiving judgement, we have a choice to make in what is put in the air and how to respond to what is put in the air. This choice comes from a place of intention which is where our distinction comes. The earlier mentioned groups of judges making life feel like a trial and prison bid routinely make the choice to go against the Golden Rule. These groups include those that lie, cheat, steal, oppress, discriminate, and murder.
Obvious life civil cases from society include the below categories where the judge regularly operates from a place of ill intent.
- Age
- Disability
- Equal Pay/Compensation
- Genetic Information
- Harassment
- National Origin
- Pregnancy
- Race/Color
- Religion
- Retaliation
- Sex
- Sexual Harassment
- Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
Even in cases where grey area exists due to seeming conflict with biblical or religious context, the judge has the choice to decide whether they will follow the Golden Rule or let societal perceptions guide their actions. Often times, this leads to a sacrifice of love and compassion for fear and acceptance. In these cases, I would challenge society to consider what God would truly want given an all knowing understanding of love. Would God force the judged to bring a life into this world that was the subject of harassment and retaliation or would compassion be expressed to ease their pain and burden? Would God restrict the judged from being who they genuinely felt created to be or would understanding be found to enhance their love for self and others?
Once we learn to live through the sacrifice of Yeshua for the love of God, not man, then we can ascend to a better version of ourselves.
